Clerical position under OEM with duties of deputy emergency management coordinator, such as;

  • Prior emergency service/police experience preferred (not required)
  • Skills and ability to update and maintain Monroe Twp.’s Emergency Operation Plan (EOP)
  • Ability to complete Incident Action Plans
  • Familiar with NJ Emergency Management Grants website
  • Working computer knowledge of word and excel
  • Ability to attend training or already attended:  Basic Workshop in Emergency Management and up to ICS 200
  • Work well with other members of the emergency services
  • Ability to comply with OPRA requests
  • Ability to Issue Monroe Twp. Identifications
  • Familiar with the operations of an Emergency Operations Center (EOC)
  • Familiar with the Right to Know program

REQUIREMENTS:

TRAINING
Successful completion of one (1) year of training in automotive technology at an accredited community college or vocational school.

EXPERIENCE:
Mechanic will require: Two (2) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of various types of motor vehicles and/or construction equipment such as bulldozers, tractors, cranes, road graders, power shovels, or similar equipment.

NOTE 1:  Applicants who do not possess the required year of formal training may substitute one (1) additional year of experience as outlined above. NOTE 2:  An Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification in one of the following specialties from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence may be substituted for the formal training: A-1 Engine Repair, A-6 Electrical/Electronic Systems, A-8 Engine Performance.

REQUIREMENTS:

NOTE: Applicants must meet one of the following or a combination of both experience and education. Thirty (30) semester hour credits are equal to one (1) year of relevant experience. Four (4) years of professional experience in the evaluation and analysis of budget requests or in the preparation and presentation of budgets. OR Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
