New Senior Bus

A new senior bus was delivered to the Department of Community Affairs in April. Monroe Township Senior Transportation service is a valuable resource that provides senior citizens and handicapped residents with safe transportation to the Pfeiffer Center, shopping, and medical appointments. We are pleased to offer this service to help this very special population live independently. The 22-passenger bus includes features to assist riders with physical disabilities.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS: 

Must be a resident of New Jersey and a citizen of the United States. 

Must be a retired officer in good standing who has previously served as a duly qualified, full-time law enforcement officer in any municipality, county, agency of this state, bi-state agency, or federal agency, and must be living in New Jersey. 

Must be less than 65 years of age for appointment. 

Must pass a medical, psychological, and drug screening prior to appointment. 

Must complete and pass a background investigation. 

Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language well and intelligently and have a high school diploma or its equivalent. 

Is of good moral character and sound body and good health. 

Must possess a valid New Jersey driver’s license. 

Officers retired for more than 3 years will be required to complete the Basic Course for Police Officers.

The Township of Monroe is seeking a qualified individual to serve as Deputy Municipal Court AdministratorResponsibilities include, but are not limited to, providing information and guidance to the staff, clients and court customers.  Review and monitor daily, weekly and monthly reports, reconciling accounts and excellent customer service skills.  Candidate must be motivated and detail-oriented.  Comply with the New Jersey Rules of Court, Supreme Court directives, laws and established policies and procedures governing the operation of the Municipal Courts.  Perform related duties as required.  Must have at least (1) year of experience in work related to the administrative operation of a court, law enforcement agency, law office, or government agency, law office or government agency, including the preparation and/or processing of legal documents.
