Clean Communities Programs

Help us keep MONROE TOWNSHIP clean! A variety of volunteer opportunities are available, whether you’re a resident, business, civic association, school, or non-profit organization.

One Day Cleanup Event (Town-wide) Mini-Grant

Civic groups, volunteer organizations, churches, and scout troops, as well as residents and businesses, are encouraged to participate in a joint effort to clean up our streets and public properties. (Note: The exact event date will be posted around February annually).

Adopt a Road Program

Adopt a Road groups are required to routinely clean designated sections of their adopted municipal areas. To ensure safety, all necessary field equipment—including mechanical litter grabbers, high-visibility safety shirts, trash bags, and protective gloves—is fully provided by the township. All participating groups are formally acknowledged with a dedicated roadside sign displaying their custom name.

The health and safety of our community volunteers is incredibly important. Please review all local cleanup safety protocols thoroughly before conducting any field cleanup programs.
