As Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tor for the Town­ship of Mon­roe, Kevin Hey­del is respon­si­ble to coor­di­nate and inte­grate all the activ­i­ties asso­ci­ated with munic­i­pal affairs. These respon­si­bil­i­ties include estab­lish­ing orga­ni­za­tional struc­ture, deter­min­ing the need for and devel­op­ing plans for orga­ni­za­tional changes, devel­op­ing orga­ni­za­tional goals and objec­tives, devel­op­ing and main­tain­ing poli­cies and pro­ce­dures and direct­ing work of the orga­ni­za­tion through sub­or­di­nate lev­els of super­vi­sion. Other respon­si­bil­i­ties include over­see­ing and assist­ing in the annual bud­get process, insur­ing adher­ence to gov­ern­men­tal pur­chas­ing poli­cies and pro­ce­dures, man­ag­ing admin­is­tra­tive staff, per­son­nel records, labor nego­ti­a­tions, dis­putes and griev­ances, man­ag­ing the township’s insur­ance poli­cies and ben­e­fit plans, research­ing fund­ing oppor­tu­ni­ties and coor­di­nat­ing grant appli­ca­tions, and man­ag­ing pub­lic rela­tion mat­ters. Mr. Hey­del also acts as an advi­sor to local gov­ern­ing body regard­ing all admin­is­tra­tive issues.

Mr. Hey­del was hired as the Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tor under the Gab­bianelli Admin­is­tra­tion in Jan­u­ary of 2003. He is a finan­cial pro­fes­sional with over twenty years of expe­ri­ence in the finan­cial ser­vices indus­try. His strengths include admin­is­tra­tion, analy­sis, com­pli­ance, prob­lem solv­ing, project, risk and staff management.

Mr. Hey­del is a Vet­eran of the United States Navy, hon­or­ably dis­charged in 1982. Prior to his dis­charge he earned a Naval Achieve­ment Medal for Supe­rior Per­for­mance and a Good Con­duct Medal. Two years later he grad­u­ated from William Pater­son Col­lege of

New Jer­sey earn­ing his Bachelor’s Degree in Account­ing. Mr. Hey­del is mar­ried with 2 chil­dren and is a town­ship resident.

Mr. Hey­del recently com­pleted col­lege classes and grad­u­ated after earn­ing his Cer­ti­fi­ca­tion as a Pub­lic Man­ager in July, 2005.
