Mayor’s Committee on Addiction Awareness

Mission Statement

Established in 2024, the Monroe Township Mayor’s Committee on Addiction Awareness (MCAA) is dedicated to promoting education, prevention, awareness, and recovery in the fight against substance use disorders. Through community engagement, public outreach, and collaborative partnerships, MCAA strives to reduce the stigma associated with addiction, increase understanding of the dangers of opioid misuse, and connect individuals and families with resources that support prevention, treatment, and recovery. By fostering a compassionate and informed community, MCAA seeks to empower residents, strengthen public health, and improve the quality of life for all who live, work, and visit Monroe Township.

Narcan Distribution Boxes

Narcan distribution boxes are now located in Monroe Township’s Municipal Building lobby and the Monroe Township Police Department lobby. The Mayor’s Committee on Addiction Awareness, in partnership with Operation R.I.S.E., remains committed to the health and wellness of our community by addressing substance use and overdose prevention.
