The func­tion of the Finance Depart­ment is a ser­vice to facil­i­tate inter­ac­tion between the Mayor, Town­ship Coun­cil, Busi­ness Admin­is­tra­tor, other Town­ship depart­ments and the divi­sion within the Finance Depart­ment. The Chief Finan­cial Offi­cer super­vises all finan­cial func­tions of the Town­ship, as well as many other sup­port ser­vices, includ­ing Account­ing, Accounts Payable, Bud­get­ing, Bank­ing, Risk Man­age­ment, Man­age­ment Infor­ma­tion Ser­vices, Pay­roll, Pur­chas­ing, and Bond­ing issues. The Finance Depart­ment deals with the pub­lic regard­ing util­ity bills, accounts payable, and munic­i­pal bonds. It is also pri­mar­ily respon­si­ble for the admin­is­tra­tion of the Township’s defined con­tri­bu­tion pen­sion plans.
