E-WASTE DISPOSAL

Due to ongo­ing changes per­tain­ing to NJDEP E-Waste dis­posal reg­u­la­tions, effec­tive
OCTOBER 1, 2011, the Mon­roe Town­ship Depart­ment of Pub­lic Works (MTDPW)
will no longer col­lect TV’s curbside.

In addi­tion to all com­put­ers and mon­i­tors, all intact TV’s must be dropped off at the
MTDPW located at 1040 Glass­boro Road, Williamstown dur­ing the fol­low­ing hours:
Mon­day – Fri­day between 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

If the glass/screen is cracked, not smashed, but the TV/monitor is still intact with all com­po­nents, this will be accepted for dis­posal.
Scrap parts from dis­man­tled TV’s and com­put­ers, includ­ing, but not lim­ited to TV/monitor tubes, plas­tic cas­ings, crushed glass, etc.,
ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE MUNICIPAL E-WASTE RECYCLING PROGRAM.
The MTDPW is not per­mit­ted by the NJDEP reg­u­la­tions to accept this type of mate­r­ial.
If tubes from TV’s or mon­i­tors are brought to the MTDPW by a “scrap­per” with­out the cov­er­ing and all their parts, they will be rejected.

NOTE: It is ille­gal to dis­man­tle E-Waste for parts unless you are a
NJDEP Per­mit­ted Class D Recy­cling Facil­ity. Please be advised,
mul­ti­ple vio­la­tions will be reported to the NJDEP.
